I'm a Facebook ads consultant for UK small and medium businesses, and I plan, set up and run paid social campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter (X). You work with me directly, and your tracking gets set up properly so you can see which ads bring in leads and sales.
Paid social sits alongside the rest of my digital marketing services, including SEO, Google Ads and GA4 tracking.
What I Offer With Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter (X) Ads
My paid social service covers campaign strategy, account setup, audience targeting, tracking and ongoing optimisation for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter (X) Ads. It's for UK small and medium businesses who want their social ads run by one experienced freelancer, with a monthly report and meeting to show what's working.
Facebook and Instagram both run through Meta's Ads Manager, so as a Meta ads consultant I can manage the two together and plan audiences, placements and budgets around your goals.
If you've been searching for a Facebook ads expert or a Facebook ads specialist, it's worth asking who will actually run your account. With me, it's me, from the first call through to the monthly meeting. Here's what you can expect:
- A free discovery call first, to talk through your goals, budget and timeframes.
- A reply within 24 hours at the latest.
- Fixed monthly fees and no long-term contracts.
- Plain English and honest advice, including telling you if paid social isn't the right channel for your business.
Social media is where I started. My first full-time role in digital marketing was at a social media startup, where I ran Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn automation for the agency and its clients. I've been in digital marketing since 2017, and you can read more about my background and how I work.
If you need help with organic social media as well, I can refer you to SWOT, a social media partner I'm happy to recommend. For graphic design, I can point you to Kreative Freedom.

LinkedIn Ads for B2B Reach
LinkedIn Ads are a separate part of my paid social service, and they're worth a look if you sell to other businesses. Facebook and Instagram know a lot about people's interests. LinkedIn knows about their working lives, and you can target people by job function, seniority, industry and the company they work for. For example, if you wanted to reach finance directors in manufacturing, you could combine those filters to put your ads in front of them.
LinkedIn's own guidance suggests combining job function with seniority to reach decision-makers. Job titles vary a lot from one company to the next, and stacking too many narrow filters can leave you with an audience too small to deliver.
LinkedIn groups its campaigns into awareness, consideration and conversion objectives. For most small B2B businesses, the conversion end is where the budget needs to earn its keep:
- Lead Generation campaigns use LinkedIn forms pre-filled from the member's own profile, so someone can enquire without leaving LinkedIn or typing out their details.
- Website Conversion campaigns send people to your website and optimise for the actions you value there, such as a form submission or a download. They need conversion tracking in place to work.
If you sell mainly to consumers, Facebook and Instagram are usually a better home for your budget than LinkedIn, and I'll say so on the discovery call.
Tracking That Shows What Your Ads Are Actually Doing
Every decision about budgets, audiences and ads depends on the numbers, so I build tracking into paid social from the start. Tracking is a big part of my work, from GA4 setup and server-side tracking to conversion tracking for Google Ads.
For Facebook and Instagram, that means the Meta Pixel in the browser and the Meta Conversions API on the server. I build server-side setups on TAGGRS, and the Conversions API goes in with deduplication. Without it, the same purchase or lead can be counted twice, once from the browser and once from the server. Deduplication matches the two using the event name and a shared event ID, so each action is only counted once.
Server-side tracking still works within your visitors' consent choices, and I won't promise you a big jump in reported conversions. What you get is data you can trust when you decide where the next pound of budget goes.
Your paid social data then goes into the custom Looker Studio report every client gets, alongside Google Ads, Google Analytics and Search Console data by default.
How I Plan and Run a Paid Social Campaign
Whether you've been looking for a paid social specialist or a Facebook ads freelancer, here's what happens once you get in touch:
- Discovery call. We talk through your goals and budget, and where your customers spend their time online. It's free, and it's where I'll tell you whether paid social makes sense for you.
- Choosing the platforms. The mix comes from your business type and your goal. Facebook and Instagram usually suit businesses selling to consumers, with wide reach and interest-based audiences in one Meta account. LinkedIn suits B2B businesses selling to particular roles or companies. Twitter (X) can suit brands whose audience follows news and conversation there, and I'll be straight with you if it isn't worth the spend.
- Setup. Getting the account structure, audiences, tracking and conversion events in place before any spend goes live.
- Ongoing optimisation. This typically means testing audiences and ads, moving budget towards what brings in leads and sales, and cutting what doesn't. Plans stay flexible, so campaigns can adapt to seasonality and events in your year.
- Monthly reporting. We go through your Looker Studio report together at a monthly meeting and agree what happens next.
If search suits your business as well, paid social can run alongside my PPC management. And if you'd like to ask something before booking a call, you can drop me a message.
Frequently Asked Questions
What Does a Facebook Ads Consultant Do?
A Facebook ads consultant plans, sets up and manages advertising on Facebook and Instagram for a business. That covers strategy, audience targeting, campaign setup, guidance on the ads themselves, conversion tracking, ongoing optimisation and reporting. I also manage LinkedIn and Twitter (X) Ads, so all your paid social can sit with one person.
How Much Does It Cost to Hire a Facebook Ads Consultant?
Pricing is bespoke to your project, so there's no fixed price list. It will depend on the scope of the work, for example how many platforms you want to advertise on. After a free discovery call, I'll give you a clear quote, and ongoing work runs on a fixed monthly fee.
Do You Manage LinkedIn Ads as Well as Facebook and Instagram?
Yes. I manage LinkedIn Ads as well as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (X) Ads. LinkedIn suits B2B businesses, with targeting by job function, seniority, industry and company, and Lead Generation forms that pre-fill from a member's profile.
Will I Be Locked Into a Long Contract?
No. I don't tie anyone into long-term contracts, and you pay a fixed monthly fee for the work. If paid social stops making sense for your business, I'll tell you.
